However, the turn you go off it rarely costs that much. Generally you have discounted multiple pieces with Dream Keepers. You usually need around 10-15, which is perfectly reasonable with experiment/stormspawn and windfall.
- You don’t want to dump onto the board in the early turns, or waste your experiment/stormspawn or windfalls - you really want the discount on those.
First several turns are building out lands and using storyteller or lore theif to build up a 6+ card hand. Then play dream keeper 2 or 3 times to get massive discounts and cycle into Fugoro and Doomgate.
- King’s Guard helps cycle and provides some counterplay
- Flower stalls a few turns or can remove a pesky creature standing on your mountain or next to their face during the kill turn.
- You can use Failed experiment to go off with 2 (or even 1) mountain
- I’m testing the 2x Triton Sanctuary, I don’t know what belongs there. Maybe frogify or flower+storyteller
There are a TON of lines with this deck. It’s like playing a puzzle. You’re best resource is time. If your opponent thinks they are out-collecting you, let them. Don’t make it look like you are a threat.
It’s not like… good. But it’s an absolutely hilarious deck to puzzle through.
Because of Medallion, this thing actually wins something like 20% of its games. Not great, but hey, its a puzzle. Enjoy it.
