I think it would be better if, in the future, there was an option to update the password within one’s account settings for example (as opposed to a “lost password” option)

The link provided in this topic does not lead to a password change area anymore. The option to change your password (or even remove your account) should be more readily available. Security is a big deal these days, and this site is not providing standard security features in a readily accessible way.
