With this deck I made the last push to finish top 10 god rank this season, since the other players in top 10 were all playing slow control decks (rakoan, treasure discover etc). Went 9:1 in the last climb with this deck (only losing once vs red rush). Usually finds turn 6 OTK even better than the “OP” Gagana OTK that got nerfed recently which found OTK only in turn 7. Ruby Yak is underrated by those who call it inconsistent, or I am just very lucky, because I find turn 6 OTK in 90% of the games I play. That being said, the deck was just made for fun and to surprise people. It loses to rush so not recommended for blind queuing on ladder.
How to play: keep cistern and lore thief on opening hand if you have them, or hard mulligan for fugoro/time of legends. (Only 2 draws in the deck for fugoro and 3 for everything else, meaning fugoro is the hardest piece of the puzzle to find). Play lore thief as collector and cisterns behind. Bank Faeria and draw your combo.
Combo: Ruby yak -> Failed Experiment -> Fugoro -> Rain of Fish -> Medallion -> Famine (Cost 21 Faeria, or 24 without failed experiment on fugoro)
Ruby yak is played first always, in case fish rain blocks your mountain!
Failed + stargazer is the best way to draw. Failed + lore thief is ok if you are desperate for draw. Try and keep 1 failed for fugoro unless you are sure you will have enough Faeria to do the combo without it. The 1 off plant can gain you an extra turn to draw your combo if you are getting pressured, but you can swap it out for more draw if you prefer.
