Altar of Annoying Fliers

Farm Boy is a placeholder for Time of Legends.

Multiple win-cons:
-Beat face with fliers buffed with Golden Aviary
-Swarm with dozens of 6/1 Slaughtering Shadows created by Altar of Souls
-Summon Ostregoth with Doomgate

Reason(s) for card
Hold the Line! : Extra bodies for blocking/life gain/sac fodder
Time of Legends: Fetch for Doomgate
Healing Song: Counteract Altar and Gnat life loss
Annoying Gnat: Recurring sac fodder and annoying to deal with when buffed with Aviary
Sunsilk Faeria: Cheap flier and sac fodder with useful Charge 3
Altar of Souls: Powerful creature generator and Doomgate fodder if necessary
Demon Wing: Cheap early flier, can collect Faeria early
Doomgate: Fun card. I can imagine the other player squirming as they try to figure out how to stop the countdown. But honestly not needed. Could be removed for something else. which would make Annoying Gnat less relevant and also replaceable.
Golden Aviary: Flier buff
Air Elemental: Flier and faster land placement
Choking Sand: Cheap(er) removal for pesky low power, high life taunters
Doomsday: Emergency reset
Last Nightmare: Hard removal

Pros:
-Strong against creatures
-Strong against slower decks
-Can produce a constant and oppressive flow of creatures by land and air
-Varied win-cons, yet surprisingly consistent
-Generates tons of card advantage
-Easy to pilot

Cons:
-Slow starts
-Often lead to full hand
-Weak against burn/mass burn
-Weak against aggro/rush
-Requires tactical land placement to prevent structures from being attacked by hasted creatures

Cons can be mitigated with defensive land placement and playing aggressively with Shadows (from Altar) and fliers.

I’m having a blast playing this decklist. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m pretty happy with what I came up with on my own and how well it plays. Inspiration for the deck came from me wanting to figure out how to use Gnat efficiently. However, I’m going to test out removing Doomgate, Time of Legends, and maybe Gnats and replace with other things for consistency and see how that goes. Again, very fun deck to pilot. The only time I lost was when I accidentally placed a structure in front of the Doomgate, which slowed Ostregoth down and misplays. Have not playtested against dedicated red/yellow decks, but I predict this deck will have trouble with them. Especially, Firestorm/Bloodsingers. I’ve only been playing in Casual, so do not know how this will fare in Ranked. Feel free to ask any questions and suggestions are welcomed.
