This is a Mono-Red control deck built more for fun than to be competitive. It is mostly removal, don’t be hesitant about using your removal because of that. You almost always have more.

Mulligans:
Mulligan for Blood Singer, Bloodfire Wisp, and Flamesilk Faerie. Seifer is fine but you don’t need him in your opening hand. You can keep Seifer if you want to.

If your opponent is a rush deck, build out towards your wells and out-value them with your removal and Bloodfire Wisps.

Against Midrange, build in the same way, but start a counterattack on the opposite side of the board from their attack. Don’t invest a lot of land on the side they are attacking you from. Only invest what you need to survive. The reason is so your Meteors have great value later when you need them.

Against most control decks, you can sit back and turtle, maybe ping them with a Flamesilk Faerie if you have it. Blood Singer burn is important in this matchup, and try to get a lot of value from your Meteors. You can cast a meteor that kills only one or two creatures if you are also destroying their land base in the process.

That was just a very simple guide. A decent amount of the playstyle with this deck changes based on what deck your opponent is playing, not just the general archetype. This deck isn’t extremely hard to pilot, but it isn’t simple.

Love the idea of this. I don’t have any Red Faries though, so will have to wait to try :frowning:

:feelsyakman: You can try putting in some Hellfires for more burn if you like. They provide you with decent reach and help you kill creatures, however they are awful against Lord of Terror decks, which are fairly popular at the moment.
