How to use chat and use emotes during a match?

Can you pls explain me how i can send a message during the game to the other player or how to use emotes I have? :frowning:

click on your orb during the game and select the emote you would like to use. Currently, the only way to chat with your opponent is if you friend your opponent and they accept. Then, you can open the friends list drop down menu, right click the friend you’re are battling, and select “send a message”.

Addendum: you are unable to send the person you’re battling a friend request in the middle of your battle. My apologies for any confusion this may have caused
