Illusion of grandeur deck with a focus on hand buffing.
The grandeur gets buffed via the following
-stats from bloated toad or recruited rakoan
-tale-d spirit, stalker, or banquet,
-failed eredon, emissary, tosser, or ruunin
All of which can really add up if any spirit/emissary buffs land
Main game plan is to stall out until you can have a swing turn with buffed tosser/stalker or throw some stats on the board after a tale.
Knowing when to drop an illusion is tricky. Best bet is to identify how useful the current body size could be given the opponent’s answers, and how easily it can be further buffed.
Shout-out to my scrim partner Schatzi505 for developing and helping me learn this deck, which went undefeated throughout the open excluding finals. This is a fun deck to pilot, esp when it works. It can dominate board during the midgame, following up with a 23/27 finisher for 5f.
