This was really an oversky meta-choice. The 4/x Neutrals put an insane amount of pressure on elementals, and you should be heavily favored (80-20) vs everything except red control (which is about 90-10 vs you). You’re looking to catch a maceman, war yak, or outlaw in your starting hand; if you have this, preferable support cards are command, syland, or drain (dream hand is 2 neutrals and one of the 3 support cards). Red cards are very good at locking the game out if you can establish early board control.

Vs Y-rush, you are looking to outrace; syland + a neutral is a great start, and always be on the lookout for chances to develop 1-aggro neutral land with 1 blocker neutral land.
