Noble Grandeur

This mono-blue deck offers a consistent, viable approach to Illusion of Grandeur, successfully incorporating it into a complete list which does not rely on massive RNG rolls (ala Bargain) to build up an end game threat. My experience has been that Illusion of Grandeur (like old Crusader) is inserted into decks that pump it up to insanely high stats, but make it difficult to play successfully (since all your effort goes into getting the “proc”). This version focuses on modest gains over the course of the game via Ruby Fish, Dark Stalker and Aurora’s Creation (especially on Gabrian Noble). This Grandeur deck also makes really good use of the new Command card, which synergizes with the board control offered via Nobles (i.e. fish everywhere) and control elements like Frogify and Aurora’s Trick. It is able to replenish the board after clears, has transform for Green and Crackthorn, competes favourably versus Blue Jump (overwhelming the board with bodies), and has the resources to outlast Yellow Tempo (especially Spellwhirl). For those looking for a really fun deck to pilot, this deck is really flexible and always a treat. It is consistent and stable, not putting all your eggs into one basket, and you know that your late game Grandeurs will always be there to close out close games. Cheers ~Zfox
