Can win some games against slower decks, probably depends on who summon creatures and get value trade first.
Start with desert, then lake because fugu’s mobility means lake can be further away from the orb. Wind Gate is very nice for blocking and stepping on enemy lands.
Other cards you can try: Rotting Boar, early beasts like Grizzly or Tyranax, or common rush cards like Maceman or Axe Grinder. I tried Chrysalis once for double blocker in race or clearing own creature to smorc, but it was too situational.
